Meghan Trainor Brings "Lips" To Ellen & Sits For An Interview (Videos)
The adorable Meghan Trainor is very busy this week promoting her debut album “Title” which got released in the U.S on Tuesday, January 13th. The Epic Records-distributed set includes the pop hits “All About That Bass” and “Lips Are Moving”, and it was the latter the song Meghan performed live yesterday afternoon (Jan. 14) on “The Ellen Show”.
This wasn’t her first time stopping by the Ellen DeGeneres hit TV show but her second. The first time was a few months ago and back then she was only a performer. This time she got to perform AND sit down with Ellen herself for an interview.
They talked about how fast her album went #1 on iTunes (Meghan's dethroned Taylor Swift's "1989"), being nominated for two Grammys and how she received the news, and her two adorable cats Cody and Mittens whom Meghan miss so much as she can't be home all the time (fortunately Ellen gave her a gift to fight the solitude).
As for the “Lips Are Moving” performance, Meghan nailed it but I’m not sure why she wanted to dress her dancers in school uniforms? Anyhow, she sang the song live really well and I liked how she incorporated the crowd a bit into the performance.
