One of the most anticipated songs from Maroon 5’s forthcoming sixth studio album “Red Pill Blues” has just been released as the very first album countdown single. We’re talking about “Help Me Out” featuring Julia Michaels of course. This collaboration between Maroon 5 and the “Issues” singer is available as of now on all streaming platforms.
“I don't mean to bother you / But there's something that I want from you / Distract me from thinking too much”, sing Adam Levine and Julia Michaels almost in unison in the second verse of this mid-tempo pop/rock song.
“Help Me Out” is a track about a man and a woman who need a new distraction, i.e date someone interesting, to distract them from the negative things that have been occurring in their lives. And “love” is definitely a good cure for that mood.
We’re not going to lie. We expected a little bit more from this song. It’s cute but it’s not the super amazing collaboration that was definitely going to become single and rule every chart we were hoping for.
