Maroon 5 Premiere Begging Anthem "Wait": New Song!

maroon 5 wait

Maroon 5’s sixth album “Red Pill Blues” may be out this coming Friday worldwide but that ain’t stopping the Adam Levine-led band from still releasing countdown singles. The latest? “Wait”. The song is available on all streaming platforms as of this Tuesday morning and you can also find an official audio video on VEVO. The photo above is the pop art-esque cover art for “Wait”.

Just wait, can we work this out, can we work this out? / Just wait, can you call me please? 'Cause I wanna be with you”, sings Maroon 5’s Adam Levine on the chorus of this new track, which basically is a begging anthem. Adam will try to get this girl back with him at all costs, begging including and putting his life in danger because the girl’s mother is now her sentinel. And you know how unpredictable mothers can be.

Favorite part of the song? Definitely that “ooohs”-filled pre-chorus build-up. It was cool. But the song as a whole? Pretty average. “Wait” is a fine album track but it doesn’t have “single” material.
