Majid Jordan & Drake - "My Love" [Music Video Premiere!]
A couple of months after dropping their new Drake-featured song "My Love", Majid Jordan premiere the official music video on YouTube.
If you don't know who this Majid thing is, then here's a quick summary: They're a duo from Toronto, Canada, they sing and produce, and, just as with The Weeknd, Drake is doing all he can for them to "happen" in America.
"My Love", a song about a mean girl who treats good men just as "trophies" to show off, will appear on Majid Jordan's forthcoming full-length debut album that they plan to release, with the help of Warner Bros. Records, "soon".
Directed by Gregg Stewart in collaboration with Common Good, the "My Love" music video sees Mijad Love and Drake attending this gloomy house party where they'll be surrounded and stalked by plenty of gold-diggers.
I personally really like the vibe of "My Love", and its lyrics too, but I'm not a huge fan of Majid Jordan's frontman's voice. I feel like there's nothing unique about it. I mean, don't get me wrong, he makes killer songs with his partner (lyrically and productions-wise), but in the 'vocal' department, I'm not impressed with what Majid Jordan have to offer.
