Lil Wayne Announces 'Sorry 4 the Wait 2' Release Date
A new Lil Wayne mixtape is headed our way sooner than you think. The announcement that the second installment in his 'Sorry 4 The Wait' series is dropping on January 20th (Tuesday) was made earlier in the day with a minute-long Youtube trailer that also comes with a preview of a freestyle over iLoveMakonnen’s ‘Maneuvering’.
'Sorry 4 The Wait 2' serves as a appetizer to Lil Wayne's much anticipated 'Tha Carter V' LP. The tape is his way of apologizing to fans over the prolonged delay and thanking them for their patience and support. He executed the same scheme for 'Tha Carter IV' and it only took six weeks for the album to arrive after the mixtape.
So far the only track we've heard that will be on 'Sorry 4 The Wait 2' is Wayne's freestyle over Future's 'Shit'. Rumor is he will be going in over iLoveMakonnen's 'Tuesday' and Rae Sremmurd's 'No Type', among others. Watch the announcement trailer and listen to ‘Maneuvering’ below.
