Kendrick Lamar Performs "i" & "Pay for It" on SNL: Watch Now!
Kendrick Lamar was the musical guest on the sixth episode of the 40th season of “Saturday Night Live” on November 15th. The Compton rapper’s last appearance on the legendary NBC show took place in February this year when he assisted Imagine Dragons in performing the “Radioactive” remix. However, Lamar’s last “solo” SNL gig occurred in early 2013 in the Adam Levine-hosted episode. Back then, he set the stage ablaze with “Swimming Pools (Drank)" and “Poetic Justice” – from the album “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City”.
On the SNL episode of Saturday, November 15th, 2014 Kendrick performed two songs live: “i”, the lead single from his forthcoming third studio album to be released early next year via Interscope Records, and "Pay for It" with Jay Rock.
This episode was hosted by actor Woody Harrelson. His intro monologue featured surprise appearances by fellow “Hunger Games” stars; Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.
