Kanye and Jay-Z Unveil 'Watch The Throne' Tracklist + VEVO Releases SXSW HD Footage!
Kanye West and Jay-Z have finally revealed the OFFICIAL tracklisting to their upcoming collaborative album "Watch The Throne" which is rumored to be dropping sometime in August - As you may see, the real tracklist is somewhat different to the 'leaked' one couple months ago.
1. “No Church in the Wild” feat. Frank Ocean
2. “Lift Off” feat. Beyonce
3. “Niggas in Paris”
4. “Otis” feat. Otis Redding
5. “Gotta Have It”
6. “New Day”
7. “Prime Time”
8. “Who Gon Stop Me”
9. “Murder to Excellence”
10. “Welcome to the Jungle”
11. “Sweet Baby Jesus” feat. Frank Ocean
12. “Love You So” feat. Mr Hudson
The 12-track set will include collaborations with Frank Ocean, Mr Hudson, Otis Redding and of course Jay-Z's girl Beyonce, who is the featured artist on the next "Watch The Throne" official single, "Lift Off". Check out some reviews of the song below:
"In the first song, Beyonce completely blasts off to a beat laced with heavy synths. Kanye bursts onto the track, weaving in and out of autotune and various vocal distortions. Very off beat, but in a good way. Jay-Z follows up flowing to very short or truncated verses. Clearly, Beyonce is the ancho to a song that ebbs and flows until it blasts off in a spaceship counting down. (This was actually the second song, but the first seemed to be a partial record that got hacked off.)"
"If “Liftoff” isn’t a chart hit within the next year, I’ll be surprised. Jay-Z and Kanye get downright triumphal over synthesized fanfare à la West’s “All of the Lights,” and Beyoncé’s anthemic hook is the type of thing that makes radio programmers go weak in the knees."
In other news, online music network VEVO has released for the viewing pleasure of the Kany and Jay fans, HD (professional shot) footage of this year's 'SXSW' festival held in Austin back in April. If you remember, it was there where Kanye and Jay performed for the first time "H.A.M". Peep the performance in HQ below.
