John Legend & Common - "Glory" [Music Video Premiere!]

It’s like they knew they were going to win.

Glory” by Common and John Legend was released in early December 2014 and a music video had yet to be premiered. Why the long wait? The Golden Globe nomination of the song perhaps had something to do about it. Were they so confident they were going to win on Sunday (Jan. 11) and that’s why they waited until the very next day to unveil the “Glory” MV on VEVO? Wow. If that’s the case, RESPECT to Common and John. I mean, it's the perfect strategy. Give your music video a views boost by dropping it the next day you win "Best Original Song" at the Golden Globes. Brilliant!

They had to be confident they were going to beat Lana del Rey and Co, because had they lost, premiering the MV the next day would be a bad and foolish move. For you had just been announced loser and premiering the music video for your losing song so soon would only make people remember more strongly what a loser you are. Get it?

“Glory” music video review

Featuring abundant scenes from the civil rights drama movie “Selma", rapper Common looks super sharp in a grey suit as he spits his inspiring verses stood-up while "All of Me" R&B crooner John Legend plays the piano tie-free. Hmmm, just OK.

What do you think of the video?
