Yey at Def Jam finally liberating some money to book Jhené Aiko relevant TV performances to plug her exquisitely perfect “Trip” album. Yesterday, the L.A native girl performed her flawless song “Sativa” with Rae Sremmurd on “The Ellen Show”, and you know that to be on this show you have pay serious money. And for Def Jam to have paid the “Ellen” fee, it means that in the end they truly have love and faith on Jhené, and they should be, because she’s possibly one of the most talented artists on the label’s whole roster. Yeah, I said it.
Yesterday’s “Sativa” performance on “Ellen” went great. Jhené sounded amazing and looked hot, the Rae Sremmurd nailed their parts, and the nice, friendly chemistry among all them was nice to watch. This “Sativa” performance seriously couldn’t have gone greater.
And please, if you haven’t gotten into Jhené’s “Trip” album yet, go do it now or go give it a second chance if you only gave it a quick spin, because it was to me one of the best albums in 2017.
