Jennifer Lopez: "Same Girl" - Video Teaser!
She's still, she's still Jenny from the Block! Jennifer Lopez has uploaded a 45-second teaser of the music video of her upcoming buzz single “Same Girl” to her YouTube page. The complete visual for the urban-pop “honesty” anthem will premiere during the second episode of Season 13 of "American Idol" on Thursday, January 16.
“Same Girl” is track co-written by Jennifer and Chris Brown, and produced by Cory Rooney. "Same Girl" is a taste of the sound that J.Lo’s forthcoming eighth studio album will have. After the flop of “Live It Up” (another dance-pop single), Jennifer realized she needed “Jenny from the Block” back to make a new “chart-topping comeback” as her EDM songs had already saturated the audience and the market.

The music video for “Same Girl” was shot in the Bronx (New York) on December 29, 2013. Jenny unveiled a video teaser on January 13, three days ahead the world premiere on "Idol". The clip sees Jennifer walking the Bronx streets, sitting on a staircase in an old building, or standing by a subway platform, all while wearing a Yankees cap, jeans, and a black quilted jacket.
From the video teaser, “Same Girl” doesn’t sound “that exciting”. The lyrics are oh-so-cheesy but anyway I like the fact Jennifer will return to her “urban-hip hop” roots in her new album. “Same Girl” obviously isn’t "single material" but it's just the appetizer before the main course is served. And I am hungry!
