27-year-old country singer Maren Morris (who was featured on Thomas Rhett’s recent smash hit “Craving You") released today a brand song entitled “Dear Hate” and she’s dedicating it to all of the victims of the Las Vegas massacre. “Dear Hate / I saw you on the news today / Like a shock that takes my breath away”, Maren sings in the deeply emotional first verse.
Maren is going to five all the royalties from this song to the Music City Cares Fund, which was established by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee only this Monday to raise money for all of the affected from the Route 91 Harvest festival mass shooting in Las Vegas that left at least 59 people dead and 527 injured.
Beautiful song, Marren! It’s really impossible to not shed a little tear while listening to “Dear Hate”. All the lyrics just get to you.
