Florence + The Machine - "Delilah" [Music Video Premiere!]
The Odyssey series lives on!
Florence and the Machine premiered on VEVO today (Oct. 21) the music video for their newest single “Delilah”. The epic indie-rock track is lifted from the Florence Welch-led band’s third studio album “How Big How Blue How Beautiful”.
The Odyssey series, Florence’s collaboration with director Vincent Haycock, began with the daring video for first album single ‘What Kind Of Man’.
On “Delilah”, Florence said: “This was one of the first songs Isa and I wrote for this record... while we were at Geejam studios in Jamaica. It's based on a party we had just been to in Miami, the biblical tale of Sampson and Delilah, and the agony of the mobile phone in modern relationships”
Here’s description of the “Delilah” music video from the official press release:
A staunch fan favourite on record and equally popular live number, the video for ‘Delilah’ continues to visually chornicle Florence in her journey through the engulfing landscapes of the songs on How Big How Blue How Beautiful. Filmed in Los Angeles, it sees Florence assume the role of the biblical character Delilah, whilst keeping true to the adventurous aesthetic and themes that have been the markings of the Odyssey series.
What a song and what a video!!! STUNNING!
