Florence & Mary J Blige SLAY on 'Jools Holland'
AMAZING! No words can describe how brilliant these performances by Florence Welch and Mary J Blige were! Both music divas took the stage last night (November 1st) on BBC 1's "Later with Jools Holland" (UK) to promote their latest records, and they simply SLAYED! Florence + The Machine delivered the first televised performance of their 'next' single - that is after "Shake It Out" (which isn't doing that good in the UK, hence the rush) - the flawless "No Light, No Light", from the album "Ceremonials". OMG! That instrumentation! Those vocals! That song! It gives me LIFE!...Florence's live rendition was tears-worthy.
Keeping the emotional pace of the show, next guest Mary. Blige treated UK viewers with a beautiful cover of the Matt Morris song "Someone To Love You", a cover that is included on the R&B diva's new studio album "My Life II...The Journey Continues (Act I)". Accompanied by Jools Holland himself in the piano, Mary mesmerized and made everyony jaw drop with her moving rendition. Bravo Mary!
