Adele Performs On BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge!
British sensation Adele stopped by earlier today (Januar 27th) over BBC Radio One's headquaters in London to perform an acoustic set - all in promotion of her recently released new album "21" - The double Grammy award-winner sang two songs from the new LP which were; latest smash hit "Rolling in the Deep" and next *confirmed* single "Someone Like You", as well as an oldie but goodie from her 2008 debut LP "19", the emotional "Hometown Glory" and real first single from that era.
However! That was not it. When the time came to cover a contemporary song (of Adele's choice) - like it's usually done in this 'Radio One' show - just imagine my surprise when Adele said she was going to do Chery Cole's "Promise This"! I said for a minute to myself; "OK out all of the songs in the world WHY (God) this one?" But then again, I was dead curious to hear "Promise This" in Adele's voice plus her putting Cheryl to shame. Adele nailed it, owned it, killed it, murdered it (and all the possible synonyms!). Stunning stuff. How awesome would it be that Adele releases one day a covers album, naming it "Showing them how it's done" lol.
